Letter from the President

Dear Colleagues:

I hope you had a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you once again at the Long Island Radiology Society meetings in the fall. We look forward to another exciting lecture series for the 2025-2026 academic year, organized by our Educational Chairperson, Dr Eric Goodman, which will begin on September 9th, 2025.

Our meetings will be held at various venues on Long Island.

Format of the meetings:

• 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Social hour with hors d’oeuvres
• 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Presentation by guest speaker with a sit-down full course dinner.

In addition to some fabulous speakers, once again we will hold our “37th Annual Conference on Mammography & Other Breast Imaging.” This virtual live conference via Zoom will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 from 7:00 am – 5:00pm. This course is provided by the Office Of Continuing Medical Education Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and in collaboration with the Long Island Radiological Society and New York State Radiological Society. Please register by October 10th for this course.

So we can continue to offer you educational programs of the highest quality, as well as, a wonderful environment for networking, getting involved in the world of radiology, and enjoying the company of your colleagues we truly appreciate your continued support of the Long Island Radiological Society, as we strive to remain organized and stay abreast of the rapidly changing pace of health care policies in this country. For similar reasons, it is also crucial that you maintain your membership in the New York State Radiological Society and the American College of Radiology, which also work with the legislative branches of our government towards establishing and maintaining policies which would positively have impact on the future of radiology.

I thank you for your membership and hope you take full advantage of the fabulous programs we have in store for you this year! I hope to see you then.
