Dear Colleagues:

I would like to personally extend my sincere and heartfelt welcome to all radiologists, trainees, and students to the Long Island Radiological Society 2026-2027 academic season.

We look forward to providing an ongoing forum of discussion on relevant and timely topics, led by invited regional as well as internationally renowned speakers. We hold six events throughout the year, divided between fall and spring. Meetings are held at various charming venues on Long Island and occasionally remotely. Cocktail hour at 6PM is an ideal opportunity to network and meet colleagues and trainees. Speaker presentations begin at 7 pm. Member participants will be able to obtain CME credit.

Additionally, on October 3rd, 2026, LIRS will host the 38th Annual Mammography and Other Breast Imaging virtual conference for radiologists and technologists, in conjunction with the Office of Continuing Medical Education at Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine, demonstrating our continued commitment to the diagnosis and state of the art treatment of breast disease.

Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, with broad and varied experiences, both in the academic as well as in the private sectors. We also have a large and integral contingent of residents, fellows and even medical students who regularly attend our meetings.

The LIRS as a part of the American College of Radiology is committed to work ceaselessly on your behalf, to face new and ongoing challenges that reflect the ever-changing political climate. Please support our work by joining as a member if you have not already. We strongly encourage participation on our executive committee and make your voice heard. Your involvement and attendance is crucial to our continued success. We look forward to seeing you this season and your participation in future years.
