Letter from the President

Dear Colleagues:

As president of the Long Island Radiological Society, I am excited to announce the beginning of our 2023-2024 series. Our lecture series this year again features a variety of topics presented by distinguished speakers. We will also host our virtual Mammography Symposium which will be held on October 14th. Please find the attached LIRS lecture series schedule and mammography brochure.

Our meetings will be held at various venues on Long Island.

Format of the meetings:

6:00 p.m.: Social hour with hors d’oeuvres

7:00-8:00 p.m.: Presentation by guest speaker with a sit-down full course dinner.

On behalf of the LIRS executive committee, we hope that this membership year offers opportunities for education, networking, and advocacy. If you are not yet a member and would like more information, please speak to a member about the benefits of membership or contact our administrative assistant, deborah.dabbene@stonybrookmedicine.edu.

Enjoy the remainder of your summer, and I look forward to seeing you all during the upcoming Lecture Series.

Micheal Raj, M.D.

President, Long Island Radiological Society 2023-2024
